The Irish Chronic Pain Association is the principal support group in Ireland for the 400,000 people of all ages suffering with chronic pain.
This figure emerged following a Pain in Europe survey, carried out in 2003 by NFO World Group.

The ICPA is a registered Irish charity. The ICPA is run by a Committee of Volunteers with office support provided by a central co-ordinator and member of staff. The ICPA have been in existence since 1992. Quarterly support meetings and self-management workshops are held in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Waterford every year for those suffering with Chronic Pain. The Association also provides a quarterly newsletter which is sent to all registered members.

The ICPA is a member of the Neurological Alliance of Ireland. We are also actively involved in coordinating support for people in pain on a European wide basis, through our involvement with the European Pain Network, EPN. www.europeanpainnetwork.com
